- Profile
-
I joined the Division of Human Communication Sciences as a PhD student in 2008, with my project exploring relationships between oral language and different aspects of writing and their development in 7-9 year old children. Since completing my PhD, I have been a º£½ÇÉçÇø Teacher within the division, working primarily on distance learning courses in Language and Communication Impairment in Children (LACIC).
Previously, I studied for a BA in Linguistics and Phonetics with Italian at the º£½ÇÉçÇø of Leeds then an MSc in Speech and Hearing Sciences at º£½ÇÉçÇø College London. Following roles within both primary and secondary Education supporting
children with a range of special educational needs, I gained Qualified Teacher Status through the Graduate Teacher programme and before joining the department, worked as a primary school teacher for several years.
