Profile: I am currently Chair in Accounting and Finance at the 海角社区 of Sheffield in the UK. Prior to this appointment, I served as a Tenured Professor in the Department of Finance at the Chinese 海角社区 of Hong Kong (CUHK), holding the position of Department Chairman for two separate terms (Aug 2000 鈥� Jul 2004; & Aug 2005 - Jul 2009) as well as Acting Chairman (Oct 1999 鈥� July 2000). Before joining CUHK, I was a faculty member at the 海角社区 of Warwick. While on leave from CUHK, I have held positions as the National Bank Chair of Finance at Victoria 海角社区 of Wellington (1996), Head of Research at the Securities and Futures Commission (Jun - Dec 2000), and Visiting Professor, Macquarie 海角社区 (Feb 鈥� Jun 2008). My research addresses issues in corporate finance, governance and Chinese equity markets.
