We offer a range of mathematics and statistics courses, with the opportunity to combine your degree with subjects such as philosophy or economics. You can also grow your experience and connections by opting to complete a year-long work placement or study abroad as part of your degree.

MMath or BSc?

MMath options come with a final year of research training, where you'll work with a professional mathematician on an unanswered question in mathematics. They're the best route for students who are thinking about a career in mathematics research.

Flexibility

All of our courses cover topics across pure mathematics, applied mathematics, probability and statistics – knowledge that every mathematician needs for a successful career. There’s flexibility to choose from optional modules too, so you can tailor your degree to your interests, your career goals and the problems you want to help solve.

Placement years

All of our mathematics and statistics courses offer the option of a one-year work placement, which you can opt to do after you start your degree.

Study abroad
